Madrid promotes tourism through new maps and historical train routes

Madrid is launching new initiatives to promote its cultural and historical tourism. The Association of Hotels of Madrid (AEHM), in collaboration with Walk Around, has released a new tourist map available in both digital and paper formats. Distributed through more than 330 associated hotels, the map provides practical guidance, cultural recommendations, and gastronomic suggestions to help visitors navigate the city's landmarks.

Additionally, the Community of Madrid is promoting historical train routes to connect travelers with World Heritage sites. These seasonal offerings include the Felipe II Train, which travels to San Lorenzo de El Escorial; the Cervantes Train, which visits Alcalá de Henares; and the Strawberry Train (Tren de la Fresa), which runs between Madrid and Aranjuez. These routes aim to enhance the visitor experience by integrating historical storytelling and period-appropriate atmosphere into the journey.
