Madrid promotes wine tourism and viticultural heritage

The Community of Madrid is promoting its wine tourism and regional wineries at the Vinofòrum Roma 2026. The initiative features tastings from 16 different wineries and showcases the four viticultural zones of the Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid: Navalcarnero, Arganda, San Martín de Valdeiglesias, and El Molar. The presence at the event, held within the Espacio España, aims to increase visibility among professionals and visitors in the gastronomy and wine sectors.

In a related cultural effort, the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid is hosting a session focused on the historical legacy of wine through the ITER VITIS project. This European cultural itinerary connects archaeology, viticultural heritage, and enotourism. The event explores how wine serves as a link between landscape, memory, and tradition, examining historical production, storage, and trade through archaeological remains and ancient practices.
