Madrid region highlights filming estates and medieval cultural sites
The Madrid region offers diverse locations for both audiovisual production and cultural tourism. Tilo de Gamonales, located in Valdemorillo near El Escorial, provides 180 hectares of private, fenced land suitable for film, television, and photography. The estate is designed to serve as both a scenic backdrop and an operational base, offering privacy and infrastructure to manage technical crews, catering, and equipment without urban interference.
In Buitrago del Lozoya, visitors can explore a well-preserved medieval walled town featuring an 11th-century fortification. The town also houses the Museo Picasso – Colección Eugenio Arias, which contains drawings and works gifted to Eugenio Arias, a close friend and hairdresser of Pablo Picasso during the artist's exile in France.
