Isabel Díaz Ayuso announces housing and education measures for Madrid

During the Debate on the State of the Region, Isabel Díaz Ayuso announced a series of measures for the Community of Madrid. A major component of the plan is a housing initiative involving the construction of 3,100 affordable rental homes. Of these, 2,500 will be integrated into the Plan Vive program, while 600 are designated for vulnerable groups. Additionally, 16,500 homes will be reserved for members of the State Security Forces and Corps.

The regional government is also investing 450 million euros into the 'Rehabilitar Madrid' program to modernize the existing housing stock. In the education sector, Ayuso introduced a Virtual Educational Card to help families track academic progress and access subsidies. To support teachers, the government will provide legal assistance through the General Attorney's Office for those facing assaults and will expand psychological support.

Other announcements include the creation of a filming destination network to boost the audiovisual sector and the installation of 1,100 intelligent video surveillance cameras with license plate recognition across 564 points to enhance traffic security and mobility management.
