Madrid residential burglaries increase by 26.4%

Residential burglaries in Madrid have seen a notable increase. Official data for the first quarter shows 177 forced entries into homes in the capital, representing a 26.4% rise compared to the same period in the previous year. Across the wider Community of Madrid, 1,914 such incidents were recorded during the January-March period.

Experts recommend that if signs of attempted entry are detected, residents should not enter the property or manipulate the door to preserve evidence for police inspection.
