Madrid technician Jorge Morcillo García killed in O Bolo traffic collision

A frontal collision between a Nissan X‑Trail and a Bulgarian‑registered camper van on the OU‑533 road near O Bolo, Spain, killed 26‑year‑old Jorge Morcillo García. Morcillo, a Madrid native working as an environmental technician for a Lleida‑based hydraulic‑services firm, was travelling in the company vehicle when the crash occurred at kilometer 39, minutes before 4 p.m. Emergency crews, including medical helicopters, firefighters and the Guardia Civil traffic unit, extracted the victim, confirming his death, while a passenger from the car escaped with injuries. The camper van’s driver and three passengers, including two minors, sustained minor injuries. The Guardia Civil’s Accident Investigation Unit is examining the cause, with early reports indicating the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.
