Madrid to Campo de Criptana historic train service returns

The Asociación de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Madrid (AAFM), in collaboration with Trenes Turísticos, will operate the historic ‘Tren de los 80’ on Sunday, October 18. Operating under the name ‘Expreso de la Mancha’, the service will connect Madrid with Campo de Criptana.

The journey begins in the morning at Madrid-Chamartín, with additional stops at Madrid-Atocha Cercanías and Aranjuez. The route follows the Madrid-Valencia line, passing through the Tajo valley and the plains of La Mancha, including a stop at the Alcázar de San Juan railway junction.

Upon arriving in Campo de Criptana after 11:30, passengers will have several hours to visit local landmarks such as the Sierra de los Molinos, the Albaicín neighborhood, the Pósito Real, and the Plaza Mayor. The return trip to Madrid is scheduled to arrive around 20:30. Tickets are priced from 31.45 euros, with a 10% discount available for AAFM members.
