Madrid to host La Noche del Deporte sports event

Madrid will host the fourth edition of ‘La Noche del Deporte’ on Saturday, September 26. Organized by the sports newspaper Marca in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, this multidisciplinary event offers free activities, exhibitions, and opportunities to meet athletes at Plaza de España and other locations throughout the city.

The event was presented by Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida, alongside representatives from the Spanish Olympic Committee and the Spanish Paralympic Committee. The Mayor emphasized the importance of sports in improving personal values and noted the city's strong social and athletic foundation.

In addition to the sports festivities, Madrid's cultural agenda for the weekend includes various activities such as puppet shows in El Retiro, avant-garde cinema at Cineteca de Matadero, and music performances at Contemporánea Condeduque. Other local celebrations include the San Miguel festivities in Chamartín and San Vicente de Paúl in Carabanchel.
