Madrid's Madring circuit unveiled for 2026 Spanish Grand Prix

Organisers of the new Madring circuit in Madrid held an unveiling on Tuesday, showcasing the 5.4‑km layout that will host the Spanish Grand Prix from 2026. The track, built around the IFEMA exhibition centre and the Valdebebas district, features the striking "La Monumental" – a 550‑metre, 24 % incline corner that will see cars exit at roughly 280 km/h.

The venue is split between a traditional grand‑stand area for about 60 % of the 110 000 spectators and a VIP‑focused paddock on the IFEMA side, with extensive public‑transport links to reduce car traffic. The circuit’s design includes multiple racing lines through La Monumental, high‑speed sections, and a steep climb that will test drivers' skill and tyre wear. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, acting as the Grand Prix ambassador, praised the unique character of the track and warned of the challenges the steep corner will present.
