Mads Hansen undergoes surgery, targets return for Częstochowa speedway play‑down
Danish speedway rider Mads Hansen, a key member of Krono‑Plast Włókniarz Częstochowa, has undergone surgery to repair a broken clavicle, shoulder and seven ribs. The operation involved a metal plate and ten screws, and doctors expect a recovery period of about four weeks. Hansen posted on social media that the procedure went well and that his focus now is rehabilitation so he can get back on the bike as soon as his body allows.
Włókniarz Częstochowa are currently bottom of the PGE Ekstraliga and face a play‑down battle to avoid relegation. The team hopes Hansen’s return will strengthen their lineup for the crucial matches scheduled from early September, which could be decisive for their survival in the league.
