Mads Pedersen secures green jersey and shares laughs with rivals in Tour de France

Danish rider Mads Pedersen reflected on his green points jersey after a stage in the Tour de France, explaining how he meticulously planned a surprise sprint that reached a top speed of around 87 km/h. In his podcast he described studying the finish on Veloviewer and attacking 180 metres from the line, allowing him to outpace competitors. Pedersen also mocked Belgian sprinter Jasper Philipsen’s risky line in the final corner, calling it “crazy".

A separate video showed Pedersen joking with fellow riders Mathieu van der Poel and German Nils Politt after they all rode together in the gruppetto. The light‑hearted moment highlighted the Danish cyclist’s role as an entertainer in the race, while he continues to lead the points classification.
