Madsaunist partners with VETO JAPAN for sauna design

The academic sauna label madsaunist has entered into a business partnership with VETO JAPAN, the exclusive Japanese distributor for the Finnish sauna stove manufacturer VETO. The collaboration aims to provide new sauna experience designs for Japanese hotels, bath facilities, and sauna establishments by combining madsaunist’s scientific approach to steam and air circulation with VETO’s long-standing heating technology.

Madsaunist utilizes a multidisciplinary team of experts in direction, strategy, and medicine to design sauna environments that optimize heat, humidity, and airflow. They selected VETO due to the manufacturer's focus on durability, maintenance, and a structural design that prevents the excessive dryness often found in electric saunas.

The first practical application of this partnership will be featured at the BASE LAYER HOTEL _ UNION, scheduled to open in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, on January 9, 2027. This project will mark the first integration of VETO stoves with madsaunist’s proprietary electric steam generator, the madENGINE.
