Madshus ski brand sold to Czech firm ConsilTech

Czech industrial group ConsilTech, owned by billionaire Tomáš Němec, announced the acquisition of the Norwegian ski manufacturer Madshus from Elevate Outdoor Collective. The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Torstein Myklebostad, former head of Rottefella, will become chief executive officer and co‑owner of Madshus. ConsilTech also owns the ski brand Kästle, based in Nové Město, where parts of Madshus production that were previously in China have been transferred.

Madshus, founded in 1906, is one of the world’s oldest continuously operating ski makers, producing cross‑country skis, boots and poles.
