Madura United signs Bulgarian striker Dimitar Mitkov and begins pre‑season under new coach Ze Gomes
Madura United announced the acquisition of Bulgarian forward Dimitar Georgiev Mitkov from Kazakhstan's Ordabasy Shymkent. The 26‑year‑old, 1.91 m tall striker, formerly of Rubin Kazan, joins the club on a transfer with a market value of roughly Rp4.78 billion and will wear the number 9 jersey. The club also confirmed the signing of experienced full‑back Ardi Idrus.
On the same day, Portuguese coach Jose Manuel Gomes da Silva, known as Ze Gomes, led the team’s first training session at Gelora Bangkalan Stadium. He highlighted the focus on physical recovery, ball‑possession drills, high‑pressing, and an attacking philosophy aimed at scoring many goals. With about five weeks before the Super League 2026‑27 opener, Gomes expressed confidence that the squad is preparing well and called on supporters to attend matches throughout the season.
