Mafalda Immersive Exhibition Opens at Buenos Aires' Centro Cultural Recoleta

The worldwide premiere of the Mafalda Immersive exhibition is scheduled for 1 October at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires. Developed over more than three years, the show occupies about 1,300 m² across 13‑14 themed rooms and lasts roughly one hour.

Visitors will experience the classic Argentine comic through a blend of high‑resolution video‑mapping, 360° projections, surround sound, multi‑user virtual reality, interactive installations, life‑size sculptures and an original soundtrack. The production retains Quino’s original dialogue bubbles and uses a colour palette approved by the cartoonist, discovered by director Damián Kirzner during research in Europe.

After its Buenos Aires run, the exhibition is planned to tour Europe and other Latin‑American cities, bringing the universe of Mafalda to new generations worldwide.
