Mafer Portugal addresses departure from Papillón

Singer Mafer Portugal has addressed the reasons behind her departure from the musical group Papillón during an appearance on the program ‘Reventonazo de la Chola’. She cited a need for mental peace and family tranquility, revealing that her exit followed a series of uncomfortable incidents including insults, indirect comments, and threats directed at her family.

Portugal also clarified rumors regarding her professional future, denying reports that she would join the orchestra La Bella Luz. She stated she is currently focusing on her solo career and has had no contact with that group. Additionally, she noted that she and her father, Tommy Portugal, are currently pursuing separate musical projects.

Meanwhile, the entertainment program ‘Reventonazo de la Chola’ on América Televisión achieved top television ratings in Lima, securing first place with 9 rating points. During the broadcast, host Chola Chabuca also expressed solidarity with singer Naldy Saldaña following recent allegations of harassment and stalking.
