Magaly Medina and Yahaira Plasencia reach legal settlement

Peruvian television host Magaly Medina and singer Yahaira Plasencia have reached a legal settlement to end a judicial dispute that began in 2024. The agreement follows direct discussions between the two women, which were reportedly initiated by Plasencia and her partner.

During a meeting held without lawyers, both parties exchanged apologies for comments made during their conflict. Medina apologized for using the term ‘escort,’ noting that while the word was not intended to be hurtful, she recognized it had offended and wounded the singer. Plasencia also offered apologies for certain phrases she had used during the dispute.

The settlement is expected to be presented before a judge to formally conclude the legal proceedings.
