Magaly Medina faces new hearing over Jefferson Farfán legal dispute
Magaly Medina is set to face a new judicial hearing on November 12 following a request by former footballer Jefferson Farfán. Farfán has petitioned the judiciary to revoke the benefit that allowed Medina to fulfill her sentence through community service instead of effective prison time.
The case, now overseen by Judge Sandra Elizabeth Mori Saavedra of the 39th Preparatory Investigation Court of Lima, involves allegations of irregularities regarding the community service hours Medina and her producer performed at a parish. The judge has requested a detailed report from the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) to evaluate these claims.
Medina has responded to the legal developments by reflecting on her 2008 imprisonment related to a case involving Paolo Guerrero. She expressed concerns regarding the fairness of judicial processes and the potential for similar injustices to occur in her current legal dispute with Farfán.
