Magazine Imobiliário honors Paula Teles and Dionísio Pestana at 2026 awards

The Magazine Imobiliário Personalidades do Ano 2026 awards ceremony, held in Paço de Arcos, honored several prominent figures in the Portuguese business and urban sectors.

Paula Teles, CEO of MPT, received the Environment Personality award for her contributions to inclusive urban mobility and accessibility. Teles, a civil engineer, emphasized the importance of designing cities for vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, to ensure the right to mobility and freedom.

Dionísio Pestana, president of Grupo Pestana, was honored as the Tourism Personality. The award recognizes his nearly five decades of leadership in growing the Madeira-based group into a multinational entity with over 110 hotels across 17 countries. Pestana noted that the group has achieved five years of record growth and intends to continue expanding in Portugal and international markets.

Other award recipients included Aniceto Viegas (CEO of AVENUE Real Estate) for Real Estate, José Teixeira (president of dst group) for Construction, and Laura Caldeira (president of LNEC) for the Merit Personality award.
