Magda Gessler’s ‘Kuchenne rewolucje’ enters 33rd season

The long-running Polish television program ‘Kuchenne rewolucje’ (Kitchen Revolutions), hosted by Magda Gessler, has entered its 33rd season. The show, based on the American format ‘Kitchen Nightmares’, focuses on helping failing restaurants across Poland.

A recent episode featured the restaurant ‘Pierwsza Polka’ in Gliwice, which faced severe challenges including significant debt, family issues, and poor kitchen infrastructure. Gessler criticized the establishment for serving unseasoned food and lacking essential cooking equipment, noting that the owner had invested nearly 700,000 PLN into the venue without proper preparation.

Despite a slight decline in viewership compared to previous seasons, the show remains a leader for the TVN network in key demographics. While the 32nd season averaged approximately 852,000 viewers, the preceding season reached 1.08 million. The program continues to draw audiences through its blend of emotional confrontations, dramatic culinary transformations, and high-stakes restaurant management.
