Magda Linette has advanced to the round of 16 at the WTA 250 Japan Women’s Open in Osaka. In her opening match on October 20, the Polish player defeated American Claire Liu with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

The match lasted nearly two hours. Despite facing challenges with her serve and several break points in the opening set, Linette managed to secure a break and maintain her lead to win the first set. She ultimately secured the victory in straight sets.

The tournament, held on hard courts, features a competitive field including Qinwen Zheng and several other high-ranking players as the WTA season approaches its final stages.
