These seizures prevented an estimated tax loss of nearly 1.4 million euros. One significant interception occurred on the A2 motorway involving a truck with Romanian license plates, which contained 12,600 e-cigarettes. Another major seizure took place on the A38 near Sangerhausen, where officials found 11 pallets containing 44,000 units, resulting in a tax loss prevention of over 553,600 euros. In that instance, the driver was taken into custody.
