The group argues that council decisions are binding mandates rather than mere recommendations, and that the Mayor bears responsibility for their execution.

As a specific example, the group cited the Ottersleber Chaussee, where a bicycle path has been planned since 2004. They contend that failing to include approved cycling infrastructure during necessary road construction leads to wasted funds and increased costs due to future interventions. The motion proposes that if a planned cycling facility is not implemented during roadwork, the administration must provide the council with a formal document detailing the reasons, additional costs, and a concrete timeline for future implementation.
