Magelang hosts children's art exhibition featuring 46 paintings

Approximately 30 children, ranging from kindergarten to elementary school age, are participating in the “Ruang Khayal Anak #1” painting exhibition at Loka Budaya Kota Magelang in Central Java. The event, which runs until August 27, 2026, features around 46 artworks created using acrylic paint on canvas or A3-sized paper.

Organized by the “Kelompok Yangitu Kota Magelang” art community, the exhibition aims to provide a space for children to develop creativity, talent, and imagination. Organizer Wahudi noted that the process of completing a painting serves as a way to test and build self-confidence. The opening ceremony was led by the Head of the Magelang City Education and Culture Office, Nurwiyono Slamet Nugroho, and included dance performances by Sanggar Tari Raras Pertiwi Magelang.
