Magenta Civil Protection Group celebrates 25th anniversary

The Magenta Municipal Civil Protection Group is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of community events scheduled for the weekend of October 3 and 4.

Following initial celebrations in Boffalora sopra Ticino on Saturday, October 3, the main events will take place in Magenta on Sunday, October 4. The program begins at 9:00 AM at the Civil Protection headquarters on via Mazenta, followed by a procession to the Basilica of San Martino. At 10:00 AM, a Mass will be held, succeeded by an exhibition and blessing of the group's vehicles on the church square.

Vice Mayor and Civil Protection Councilor Simone Gelli praised the group for its professionalism and dedication over the past quarter-century. Gelli highlighted the sacrifices made by volunteers and their families in prioritizing community safety and emergency response.
