Magenta History honors October 28 anniversary with documentary marathon

Magenta History, a Greek channel dedicated to history and culture, is hosting an all-day tribute to commemorate the anniversary of October 28 and the historic ‘OXI’ (No) response.

From 8:00 to midnight, the channel will broadcast 18 documentaries focusing on World War II events, Greek resistance against occupying forces, and significant human stories from that era. Featured programming includes documentaries such as ‘Romanioi: The Greek Jews of Ioannina’ and ‘The Day the War Ended,’ as well as an episode of ‘Machine of Time’ regarding the Italian occupation of Greece.

The schedule also features the premiere of the film ‘Operation Star,’ directed by Vasilis Tsikaras, which tells the true story of a Greek lieutenant and a corporal seeking refuge from German forces. These programs will also be available via MagentaTV’s On Demand service.
