Magenta Pay replaces payzy as OTE Group evolves digital payment branding

The fintech application payzy is rebranding to Magenta Pay, marking a new phase for digital payments within the OTE Group ecosystem. This transition follows the rebranding of COSMOTE TELEKOM to Telekom.

Magenta Pay services are provided by Telekom Payments, a subsidiary of OTE and a licensed Electronic Money Institution authorized by the Bank of Greece. Alexis Vaitsos, CEO of Telekom Payments, stated that the evolution aims to integrate the app more deeply into the Telekom ecosystem while adding new reward capabilities.

The application, which serves over 450,000 users, offers a 1% cashback reward in the form of Magenta Pay coins on transactions made both in Greece and abroad. These coins can be redeemed for various benefits, including food and supermarket coupons via BOX, technology product discounts at Germanos and Telekom, or direct reductions on Telekom service bills such as mobile, landline, and MagentaTV.
