Magenta Telekom wins eight Ookla Speedtest Awards

Magenta Telekom has received eight awards at the Ookla Speedtest Awards for the first half of 2026. The telecommunications provider was recognized for providing Austria’s fastest fixed-line internet and mobile networks.

According to the results, which are based on actual network usage measurements, Magenta achieved a median download speed of 263.28 Mbit/s for fixed-line connections. In the 5G mobile segment, the company led with a median download speed of 173.85 Mbit/s.

Additional honors include Best Mobile Network, Best 5G Network, Best Fixed Network, and Best 5G Video Experience. The Ookla evaluation considers download and upload speeds, latency, web browsing, and video streaming performance.
