Magenta TV receives five-year satellite license extension

The National Council for Radio and Television (ESR) has unanimously approved a request from OTE to extend the satellite subscription television license for Magenta TV. The new license is valid for five years, lasting until 2031, and covers a bouquet of 63 channels.

A prerequisite for the continuation of services is the signing of a Concession Agreement with the Greek State within six months of the license issuance. This agreement includes a graduated percentage of turnover, starting at 0.5% in the first year.

Regarding branding, the services will be provided under the ‘MAGENTA TV’ or ‘T MAGENTA TV’ logo starting from September 7, 2026. Until that date, the services will continue to operate under the ‘COSMOTE TV’ brand.
