MagentaTV announces 11th season of ‘Michani tou Chronou’

The historical documentary program ‘Michani tou Chronou’ (Time Machine), hosted by Christos Vasilopoulos, is returning for its 11th season on MagentaTV. The new season will air on Magenta History every Monday at 21:00.

The season premiere, scheduled for Monday, October 19, explores the history of Athens' commercial arcades. The episode highlights approximately 40 arcades, such as Hollywood, Opera, and Orfanidou, which served as vital economic and social hubs during the 20th century.

The second episode, airing on October 26, focuses on the Viannos Massacre in Crete during World War II. It examines the September 1943 German occupation operation that resulted in the execution of over 450 civilians and the destruction of nearly 20 villages. The episode will also cover the post-war fate of Generals Breugier and Müller, who ordered the massacre and were subsequently captured, tried, and executed in Athens.
