MagentaTV to stream historical drama ‘The Other Bennet Sister’

The historical drama series ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ will be available exclusively on MagentaTV+ starting November 19, 2026. Based on the novel by Janice Hadlow, the production shifts the focus from Jane Austen’s famous protagonists to Mary Bennet, the often overlooked middle sister from ‘Pride and Prejudice’.

The story follows Mary as she moves from the family estate of Longbourn to London to live with her aunt and uncle, the Gardiners, seeking to establish her own identity outside her sisters' shadows. The series features a cast including Ella Bruccoleri as Mary Bennet, with Richard E. Grant and Ruth Jones portraying Mr. and Mrs. Bennet.

MagentaTV customers can access the series at no additional cost. To mark the launch, the first episode will be made available for free without a subscription or registration.
