Magetan authorities launch security operation to prevent martial arts conflicts

Authorities in Magetan, East Java, have launched the ‘Aman Mataraman Semeru 2026’ operation to prevent potential conflicts between martial arts organizations. Running from September 22 to 28, 2026, the operation involves a joint force of the TNI, Polri, local government, Brimob, and other regional agencies to maintain public order and stability.

In response to the heightened security measures, field coordinators from the PSHT martial arts group met with Magetan Police to express their commitment to maintaining a peaceful environment. The coordinators pledged to avoid mass mobilization and instructed members to return to their regular routines for the next several days to prevent friction or security disturbances in the region.
