Magetan Police increase night patrols to prevent illegal racing
The Magetan Police (Polres Magetan) have increased large-scale night patrols to maintain public security and order during the weekend. On Saturday night, October 3, 2026, joint personnel from various units, including the Sat Samapta Patrol Unit, Satlantas Patrol Unit, and the Criminal Investigation Unit's Rapid Response Team, were deployed to several key areas.
The patrols targeted urban centers, crowded areas, vital objects, and locations deemed prone to criminal activity. Specific focus was placed on preventing illegal street racing, vehicle convoys, and juvenile delinquency that could disturb public comfort or road users.
Operations Manager Kompol Bondan Wibowo stated that these increased patrols are a preventive measure to ensure public safety as community activity rises during the weekend. Officers also engaged in direct dialogue with residents to provide security advisories and encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities to the police.
