Magic: The Gathering reveals Star Trek Universes Beyond set details

Wizards of the Coast is preparing to launch a Magic: The Gathering crossover with the Star Trek franchise this November. The Universes Beyond collaboration celebrates 60 years of the series, featuring iconic characters such as Captain Kirk, Spock, Picard, and Janeway.

The set introduces new and returning mechanics, including Spacecraft, Station, Beam Me Up, and Strange New Worlds. Previewed cards include the U.S.S. Enterprise-A, a legendary artifact spacecraft, and the D-7 Battle Cruiser. Additionally, the red enchantment Exploratory Mission has been revealed, which utilizes the Landfall ability to provide card advantage and mana generation.

In the secondary market, the upcoming set is already influencing card prices. Dark Matter Manipulator has seen a significant price spike, rising from approximately $1 to $8, driven by its utility in various formats including Modern, Legacy, and Standard.
