MagicLand to launch Durango wooden roller coaster in 2027

MagicLand has announced the upcoming launch of Durango, a new large-scale wooden roller coaster scheduled to open in 2027. The project represents a 15 million euro investment and was unveiled at the IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 in London.

Developed in collaboration with The Gravity Group and Martin & Vleminckx, the attraction is themed around the Old West and the gold rush, drawing inspiration from the Mexican territory of Durango and its mining traditions. The ride is designed to combine traditional wooden coaster charm with contemporary technology, featuring immersive elements such as descents, sudden direction changes, and a sequence where the train enters a dark mine before emerging for a Zero G Roll.

The presentation included MagicLand CEO Guido Zucchi and representatives from the partner engineering firms, marking a significant development for the Italian theme park.
