Maglód-Mende accident claims lives of entire family

A family of three has died following a severe head-on collision on the main road 31 between Maglód and Mende. The accident occurred on the morning of September 14, when the family vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a salt-carrying semi-truck.

The 38-year-old father died at the scene. His wife, aged 34, and their three-year-old son were both hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. After fighting for their lives for a week, both the mother and the child passed away in the hospital over the weekend.

The tragedy has left two children from previous relationships orphaned. In the village of Mende, residents have organized a charity auction and donation drive to support the surviving children, raising approximately one million forints so far.
