Magna Graecia Film Festival to host Kevin Spacey in Soverato

The 23rd edition of the Magna Graecia Film Festival will take place in Soverato, Calabria, from 25 July to 1 August 2026. Organized by Gianvito Casadonte, the event combines film screenings with cultural talks, books, sports, health and food programmes.

Among the announced guests are Oscar‑winner Kevin Spacey, who will receive the festival’s Colonna d’Oro and take part in a moderated conversation, as well as actors and presenters Can Yaman, Valeria Golino, Lino Banfi and singer‑songwriter Roberto Vecchioni. The programme includes competitions for first‑ and second‑time filmmakers, a documentary section curated by Antonio Capellupo, and an international slate overseen by Silvia Bizio. The festival also highlights regional cinema through the “Sguardi di Calabria” showcase. Hosts Carolina Di Domenico and Marco Maccarini will lead the evening events.
