Magnetic Laboratories announces lightweight HIDISC retractable PD20W charger

Magnetic Laboratories Co., Ltd. has announced a new ultra-lightweight, compact model of its HIDISC brand code-reel PD20W charger. Scheduled for release in September 2026, the device is designed for portability and convenience.

The charger features a built-in 70cm USB Type-C cable with an automatic retraction mechanism and a magnetic fixing system to keep the connector secure when stored. It weighs approximately 80g and measures roughly 55x59x36mm.

In addition to the integrated cable, the unit includes a second Type-C port, allowing for the simultaneous charging of two devices, such as a smartphone and a tablet or handheld gaming console. The power output is automatically distributed when both ports are in use. This 20W model is positioned as a more compact alternative to the company's existing 65W model, which weighs approximately 145g and supports three simultaneous devices.
