Magnite leverages CTV growth and potential Google antitrust remedies
Magnite is experiencing significant growth driven by the shift toward connected TV (CTV) and programmatic advertising. The company reported that its CTV contribution, excluding transaction costs, increased 36% year-over-year and now represents more than half of its total contribution.
In addition to CTV momentum, Magnite is positioned to benefit from potential antitrust remedies in the Google advertising technology case. Senior Vice President of Investor Relations Nick Kormeluk noted that Google holds approximately 60% of the relevant market, while Magnite holds between 6% and 8% of the total market. Kormeluk suggested that behavioral remedies, such as implementing open-source standards like Prebid to provide simultaneous access to auction data, could reshape the open-web advertising landscape.
Financially, Magnite has raised its full-year growth guidance to 13%–14% and reported a 30% increase in adjusted EBITDA, with margins reaching 37%. The company continues to expand its presence in premium streaming and live sports as advertising dollars migrate away from traditional linear television.
