On 7 August 2026 at 13:08 local time, the China Earthquake Administration recorded a magnitude 4.9 earthquake centered in High County, Yibin, Sichuan Province (latitude 28.51° N, longitude 104.67° E). The hypocenter was shallow, at a depth of 6 km.
