Magnolia Campobasso defeats Panthers Roseto in preseason scrimmage

Magnolia Campobasso secured their third consecutive preseason victory with a 61-51 win against Panthers Roseto at the PalaMaggetti. The match was characterized by a dominant start from Campobasso, who utilized five three-pointers in the first ten minutes to establish a 28-12 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Although Roseto managed to close the gap to 44-49 during the third quarter behind Reichert’s performance, Campobasso regained control in the final period. Four players for Campobasso reached double digits: Scott with 15 points, followed by Giachetti (12), Vilka (10), and Cerè (10).

Coach Mimmo Sabatelli noted the team's positive attitude and defensive strength, despite some lapses due to limited rotations. Panthers Roseto coach Righi viewed the loss as a positive sign of progress, noting the team's increased defensive intensity in the latter half of the game. Both teams will participate in the ‘Campobasso per lo Sport’ tournament later this month.
