Magnum Ice Cream Company launches new R&D centre in Bengaluru, India

The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) has opened a 13,000‑square‑foot Research, Design & Innovation Centre in the Whitefield district of Bengaluru. The facility includes a laboratory, a digitally enabled pilot plant and capabilities for product and process development, packaging, consumer technical insights and regulatory assessment. It will support brands such as Kwality Wall’s, Cornetto, Magnum, Carte D’Or, Feast and Twister, enabling faster experimentation with cups, sticks, cones, kulfi and premium ice‑cream cakes, as well as cold‑chain and climate testing, 3D packaging prototyping and transport simulations.

The centre works closely with TMICC’s Global Design Centre in Colworth, United Kingdom, and its Regional Innovation Hub in Istanbul, Turkey. Deputy Managing Director of Kwality Wall’s India, Chitrank Goel, said the new centre gives the company “world‑class R&D capabilities, deeper product expertise and a sharper innovation ecosystem” to respond quickly to Indian consumer preferences and build a future‑ready ice‑cream business.
