Magnus Cort to retire from professional cycling

Danish professional cyclist Magnus Cort is set to retire from professional racing following the final stage of the Vuelta a España. Cort, a highly respected rider from Bornholm, concludes a career marked by significant achievements, including stage wins in all three Grand Tours: the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Vuelta a España.

During his final days at the Vuelta, Cort demonstrated his standing in the peloton when his team, Uno-X Mobility, executed a full lead-out to secure him a third-place finish in a sprint stage. His career highlights also include holding the Danish national champion jersey.

His father, Anders Cort, expressed pride in his son's journey while noting the emotional impact of his retirement on the family. While Cort's future plans remain uncertain, his departure marks the end of a decade-long era of high-level performance in international cycling.
