Magnus Heunicke subjected to verbal assault in Denmark

Danish Minister of Education Magnus Heunicke was subjected to a verbal assault on Thursday afternoon while walking home from a press conference at the Prime Minister's Office. According to Heunicke, an individual on a bicycle approached him, shouting insults and accusing him of being ‘Denmark’s most dangerous man’ in relation to COVID-19 policies.

Heunicke reported that he attempted to de-escalate the situation by walking away quickly, though he felt physically threatened during the encounter. The minister expressed gratitude toward a bystander who intervened to check on his well-being after witnessing the confrontation. Heunicke noted that the stranger’s assistance made a significant difference during the unpleasant incident.
