Magnusson and Ponsiluoma win Swedish Summer Biathlon titles

Anna Magnusson and Martin Ponsiluoma secured individual titles at the Swedish Summer Biathlon Championships held in Östersund.

In the women’s 15km individual race, Magnusson took first place with three shooting errors, finishing 46.4 seconds ahead of Elvira Öberg. Ella Halvarsson secured the bronze medal.

In the men’s 20km individual race, Martin Ponsiluoma claimed victory despite two shooting errors (18/20). He finished 1 minute and 47.7 seconds ahead of Emil Nykvist, who achieved a perfect shooting score of 20/20. Sebastian Samuelsson took third place.

Ponsiluoma, who recently announced he and partner Hanna Öberg are expecting a child, stated his goal is to participate in as many races as possible until Christmas before focusing on his family.
