Magura unveils Race Pro aluminum disc brake system

Magura has launched the Race Pro, a high-performance disc brake system designed for demanding riding disciplines, including cross-country, trail, enduro, downhill, and e-MTB.

Departing from the company’s recent use of Carbotecture plastic, the Race Pro features components—including the master cylinder, lever, clamp, and caliper—constructed entirely from forged and CNC-machined aluminum. This design aims to provide high rigidity, low weight, and precise modulation. The system utilizes a radial master cylinder and a ball-bearing-mounted lever pivot to reduce required hand effort and ensure smooth operation.

The brake set includes 2.0 mm discs (ranging from 180 mm to 220 mm) and weighs approximately 310 g including 100 cm of brake hose. The product is available for a recommended retail price of €699.80 and comes with a five-year leak-proof warranty.
