Magyar Posta acknowledges ongoing package delivery delays
Magyar Posta has acknowledged ongoing disruptions in its package delivery and dispatch services, which have affected both individual customers and various webshops since early September. The company attributed these delays to the implementation of a new, automated central package processing system and the transition to a new logistics hub.
While the company stated that package processing is continuous, it admitted that temporary congestion and delivery delays are still occurring. Magyar Posta expressed its intention to return to normal operations as soon as possible and apologized for the inconvenience.
Reports indicate that some e-commerce businesses have faced significant difficulties, with some even temporarily suspending the use of Magyar Posta's logistics service, MPL, due to the uncertainty. The company noted that there has been no significant change in the rate of failed deliveries or returned packages over the last three months, and customers can continue to track shipments via the official website and mobile application.
