Magyar Posta extends heat‑related service restrictions until Aug 11

Due to a second‑degree heat alert, Magyar Posta announced that its extraordinary operating regime will remain in effect until 11 August. Non‑air‑conditioned post offices will close at 12:00 on 10 and 11 August, while at least one office in larger towns and Budapest districts will stay open until 16:00. Delivery staff will only carry mail that can be returned to their base by 11:00 to protect workers’ health.

The measures may cause temporary slowdowns in parcel processing and delivery, and the company asked customers for patience as services continue under the adjusted schedule.
