MAHA 2026 exhibition begins in Serdang with major economic and entertainment targets
The Malaysia Agricultural, Horticulture and Agro-tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 is currently underway at the Malaysia Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) in Serdang, running until September 6. The event expects to attract approximately four million visitors, with projected sales values of RM58 million and RM8 billion in Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) to be signed.
To enhance the visitor experience, the Rhythm of the Farmers (ROTF) entertainment program is being held, featuring various local artists across themed nights such as ‘Night of Vocal Supreme’, ‘Rock Anthem: The Legacy’, and ‘Soul Journey’.
Due to prevailing haze and hot weather conditions, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has encouraged visitors to wear face masks to protect their health. Attendance on the first day reached 140,000 people, a figure expected to rise as holidays begin. Additionally, a Merdeka Eve celebration featuring drone shows and fireworks is scheduled for August 30.
