MAHA 2026 preparations reach 80 percent completion

Preparations for the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 have reached approximately 80 percent completion at the Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park Serdang (MAEPS). Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu stated that infrastructure work is in its final stages, with the remaining tasks involving the arrival of exhibitor equipment before the event opens on August 28.

The exhibition aims to attract over four million visitors, benefiting from its timing alongside Malaysia's National Day celebrations on August 31. To mark the occasion, organizers have planned drone shows and fireworks displays at MAEPS.

MAHA 2026 targets 2,000 exhibitors, with an expected cash sales target of RM58 million and potential investments valued at RM8 billion. The minister noted that the ‘Road to MAHA’ program has already recorded RM2 billion in potential investment. This year's theme, ‘Creating Value for Food Security,’ focuses on modernizing the traditional agricultural sector.
